# Our curation & archive process
We collect, read and archive our links through [Readwise Reader](https://readwise.io/read) and use [their plug-in](https://chatgpt.com/plugins/readwise) for [ChatGPT](https://openai.com/) to organise and interact with the links.
Our reference cards are edited and archived in [Obsidian](https://obsidian.md/) using [Markdown](https://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/) and then made available here through [Obsidian Publish](https://obsidian.md/publish).
### Our reference card prompt
This is the prompt we use to initially format our reading links before we review and edit. Feel free to copy and amend for your own use:
------
*Using the article or URL provided, create a concise reading note for the Electric Dreams Guide Obsidian Publish library.*
*If the article is available in Readwise Reader, retrieve its full text and metadata. Otherwise, use the original source. Base the note on the actual content rather than relying on the headline or an existing summary.*
*Write in clear, accessible UK academic English, suitable for university staff, students and researchers.*
### *Required format*
# *[Original article title]*
***Author:** [Author or organisation]*
***Published:** [Day Month Year]*
***Length:** [Reading time] ([Word count] words)*
## *In Summary*
*Write approximately 70–80 words summarising the central argument, significant evidence and key conclusions. Be objective, accurate and concise. Avoid unnecessary background, repetition or generalisations. Distinguish arguments and opinions from established findings.*
***Source:** [Original URL]*
## *What might this mean for us?*
*Write approximately 40–60 words connecting the reading to Higher Education, using the Electric Dreams research project as context.*
*Consider, where relevant, teaching and learning, disciplinary practice, curriculum development, assessment, emerging technologies, academic agency, creative practice and institutional change.*
*Draw on Electric Dreams' emphasis on collective dialogue, human judgement and discipline-led innovation.*
*Identify productive questions, tensions or possible applications rather than repeating the article's argument. Maintain a critically curious perspective rather than automatically advocating for or against technology.*
*Use questions when they genuinely open up discussion. Do not force a connection to AI where one does not exist.*
## *Links in this reading*
*Provide a short bulleted list of relevant links contained in the original article, using descriptive Markdown links.*
*Prioritise primary sources, research, referenced publications and useful further reading. Exclude advertising, social sharing links and unrelated material.*
### *Formatting and editorial rules*
- *Use standard Markdown compatible with Obsidian.*
- *Preserve the article's original title.*
- *Keep the headings exactly as specified.*
- *Use UK English throughout.*

- *Keep the Electric Dreams reflection shorter than the summary.*
- *Avoid generic concluding statements.*
- *Use the Electric Dreams 2025–26 report as the primary reference for project context.*
- *Retain hyperlinks as clickable Markdown links.*
- *Do not reproduce the full copyrighted article.*
### *Output*
*Provide the completed reading note as a Markdown document that can be copied directly into Obsidian.*

*Do not add commentary, references or additional sections outside the agreed format.*
